眼差し

 どうやったら帳尻を合わせるか

そんなことばかり考えていた。

違うんだ、

楽しめばいいんだ。

結果ではなく、

楽しみを過程で見つけるんだ。

楽しんでいる人は

そういう目をしてる。笑顔とか

そんな簡単なものじゃなくて。

全部、自分が決めていい

自分だけの眼差し。

“Gaze”

I kept thinking only about

how to make everything add up.

But that’s not it.

The point is to enjoy it.

Not the result,

but the joy found in the process.

People who are enjoying themselves

have that kind of gaze. Not just a smile,

something deeper than that.

Everything is mine to decide—

my own gaze,

and no one else’s.
