ステージ Stage

 毎日は

ギャンブルのように

予想を裏切る

予想を裏切らないもの

それは

自分の中の弱さだ

それでも、期待する

自分に期待する

強い人は強い人なりに

頭の良い人は、頭の良い人なりに

弱い人は弱い人なりに

ステージがある

そのステージを飛び越えようとするから

病気にもなる

自分に期待することは良いことだ

だけど

いま立っている場所を

見失ってしまえば

その期待は

自分を傷つける

だから

しっかりと

自分の居場所を見て

周りの人達を見て

鏡に映る

自分も見て

自分のステージを

確認するんだ

ステージに優越はない

ただ

隅にいる自分が悲しい

“Stage”

Each day

betrays expectations

like a gamble

What never betrays expectation—

that is

the weakness within me

Even so, I expect

I place hope in myself

The strong in their own way,

the intelligent in theirs,

the weak in theirs—

each has a stage

Trying to leap beyond that stage

can even make us ill

To expect something of yourself

is a good thing

But

if you lose sight

of where you stand now,

that expectation

will hurt you

So

look carefully—

at your place,

at the people around you,

and at yourself

reflected in the mirror

Recognize

your own stage

There is no superiority

between stages

Only

the self

standing in the corner—

sad
